What is Machine Tape?

Machine tape is a self adhesive tape that is used in an automatic box taping machine that speeds up the sealing of cardboard boxes on a fast packing line. The rolls are much longer that hand tape, up to 15 times as long, and are designed to be applied quickly with no breaks and downtime. Standard machine tape is 48mm, 50mm or 75mm ( or 2″ and 3″ in imperial) and come in boxes of six rolls. The long rolls mean that there are fewer roll changes and line stoppages to increase the throughput of cardboard boxes and the reduce the number of packers required in the despatch department.

Is Machine Tape Right For Me?

If you already have a taping machine or you have space for one and pack lots of parcels everyday then machine tape would be a very efficient method of sealing you cardboard boxes. Due to production and shipping efficiencies with more metres of tape per box it makes it more economical as well as much faster and requiring less packing staff
